Ghaziabad, also known as the ‘Gateway to Uttar Pradesh’, is now a part of National Capital Region (NCR) due to its close proximity to National Capital New Delhi. It is located about 20 kilometers from the center of Delhi. The city is well connected to the rest of the country by rail and road.

Reliance Energy is all set to start a multi-product SEZ (Special Economic Zone) spread over an area of 1,000 hectares in Ghaziabad. Coca-Cola and ITC have set up their manufacturing units in Ghaziabad.

Workforce from adjoining Delhi and Noida are finding it economical to shift to Ghaziabad. The Proposed metro Rail Connectivity makes it easier for commuting of work force. Other infrastructural development in this area includes the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Express Highway, proposal for construction of 14 flyovers grade separators, underpasses and clove passers in important locations.

Besides developing offices and residential apartments, there is a focus on providing social infrastructure, such as shopping malls, family entertainment centres, schools and hospitals within the premises. East Delhi Mall, Pacific Mall, Galaxi, Kaushambi Mall, Wave Kaushambi, Shipra Mall are located in this area with the first IMAX theatre in northern India built at Pacific Mall in Kaushambi.
