Faridabad is the industrial capital of Haryana located 30 kilometers south of Delhi. The town is planned in a semi circle with the industrial area along the circumferences surrounding the town. It is bounded by Union Territory of Delhi (National Capital) on its north, Gurgaon District on the west and State of Utter Pradesh on its east & south. Delhi-Mathura National Highway No.2 (Shershah Suri Marg) passes through the centre of District.
Faridabad is famous for Heena (Mehandi) Production on the agricultural front while tractors, motorcycles, switch gears, refrigerators, shoes and tyres are other famous industrial products of the city.
The industrial township at Faridabad will be developed in Sectors 66, 67, 68 and 69 of the Final Development Plan of Faridabad. Large commercial projects in the city include Eldeco’s and the city’s first theme mall “Station 1” in Sector12. Ansal and Crown Plaza are lavishly designed malls catering to children’s entertainment and hospitality.
Badkhal Lake tourist complex, Suraj Kund Tourist Complex, Aravali Golf Club, Raja Nahar Singh Palace and Dabchick are the famous tourist spots.
